eLearning at BRCC Print E-mail

**NEW FOR SPRING 2015**

At BRCC, we know that our students have more going on than just school, and it is our goal to provide various learning opportunities to meet student's needs.  eLearning classes (fully online and hybrid) provide an opportunity for students to plan their learning around their busy lives, while still meeting the rigorous demands of college courses.  eLearning is a great fit for some students, while others struggle to be successful in the online environment.

In order to help our students be successful, we have developed this eSkills Orientation with tutorials and information on various topics related to eLearning.  Once you affirm that you have completed all of the sections, the eLearning Entrance Exam will be available.  Beginning in the Spring 2015 semester, a score of 80 or higher on the assessment will be required in order to register for eLearning classes.  To access the eSkills Orientation and eLearning Entrance Exam, see the instructions attached at the bottom of this webpage.

Finding eLearning classes on the BRCC Schedule

When looking at the Class Schedule, you can choose Session Type "Online" to bring up only online courses within the subject selected.  If you want to see all online courses being offered in this particular semester, highlight all subjects (to do this click on the first subject, scroll down, then shift + click on the last subject and all subjects should be highlighted), select Session Type "Online" and click submit.  All online classes offered should be displayed.

Are eLearning classes right for you?

Only you can determine if eLearning will be a good fit for you.  One of the activities in the eSkills Orientation is an assessment that helps you determine if eLearning is right for you.

After reviewing this, if you still have questions about whether or not this style of learning is right for you, contact the instructor or the Manager of eLearning Programs at BRCC.
