Join Baton Rouge Community College's Beta Mu Omicron Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society as they host their Honors Symposium, this Thursday, October 14 at 9 a.m. Individuals can attend in-person in the Louisiana Board Room or virtually via Zoom.


Baton Rouge Community College has been awarded a $2.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) Competitive and Formula Grant Programs to expand higher education opportunities for minority students by removing barriers, improving advisement, strengthening institutional capacity and enhancing student access to programs and services.


he theme of this year's event is "Let's Work Together to Break the Stigma." The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and provide options for the growing concerns of various mental health issues.


The U.S. Department of Education announced that Baton Rouge Community will receive a federal Educational Opportunities Center (EOC) grant of $1.16 million over the next five years to help unemployed workers, low-wage workers, and returning high school and college students enter or continue a program of postsecondary education.
