- At its 50th anniversary conference last month, the Southwest Association of Student Assistance Programs (SWASAP) elected Baton Rouge Community College's Director of TRIO Program, Dr. Darica Simon, as President-Elect of the organization.

- An economic impact study released today by Baton Rouge Community College reveals the college has a $300 million impact, or supports 4,520 jobs, annually in the greater Baton Rouge area.

Baton Rouge Community College will host its annual Fall Fest on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the lawn by the Bienvenue Student Center at the Mid City campus,201 Community College Drive.
