The Perkins Career Advisor for Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) is trained specifically in the art of preparing students for the workplace. The advisor provides free resources to students to help them transition through college into the workforce and be successful in their chosen career. Meeting with the Career Advisor:
When you meet with the Career Advisor, the advisor will discuss with you your program of study, your goals for the future and determine services available at BRCC to help you to reach your goals. These goals could be how to navigate the ins and outs of the college, to providing assistance with balancing academics, home life and job, or on how to develop your résumé and prepare for job interviews.
The Career Advisor is here to provide support for all students enrolled in a technical career program at BRCC (Associate of Applied Science in Process Technology, Entertainment Technology, Construction Management and Science Technology and Associate of Science in Nursing). It is best to come prepared with questions about your career goals for the Career Advisor in order to assure quality service to you.
