Smarthinking© Online Tutoring

We encourage you to utilize the tutoring and writing assistance in the DLASC if possible. If you cannot come to campus for tutoring or if the Center is closed, Smarthinking, an online tutoring service provided by the college, is available to you. You can meet with a tutor in real-time or send a question or a piece of writing and a tutor at Smarthinking will respond. The college has contracted for a limited number of hours with Smarthinking; access is not unlimited for all students. Institution-paid access is limited to 10 hours per academic year, after which you may purchase additional hours.

We encourage you to talk with a DLASC staff person about this service and how best to utilize it. Come by the Center if possible, email us at DLASC@mybrcc.edu, or call 216-8300 and ask for one of the staff.

To access Smarthinking, you will find the link on the left-hand side of your screen in Canvas after you select one of your courses.

Smarthinking will provide you with a tour to acquaint you with their services before you get started.
