  A minimum grade of “C” is needed to move on and register for the next course.
Do I need access to a computer and internet access to take an engineering course?
  Yes, computer and internet access is needed to complete most engineering courses at BRCC.
 Where can I find the site(s) used to complete the online engineering homework? 
  Engineering websites used to complete homework, etc. for engineering courses can be found under the “Login” tab on the BRCC home page. Specific information about the site will be provided by the instructor of the course.
What is the Digital Learning and Academic Support Center and where is it located?
  The Digital Learning and Academic Support Center provides all BRCC students with free academic support including individual consultation, writing assistance, peer tutoring, workshops, and online resources. The DLASC is located on the first floor of the Magnolia building. Call (225) 216-8300, or go to “Digital Learning and Academic Support Center” under the “Academics” tab on the BRCC website.
What is a placement exam?
  A placement exam is an exam that is given to a student so that they may be placed in the appropriate mathematics course if no ACT score is available.
Where can I take the placement exam?
  Placement exams may be taken in the Testing Center located on the 1st floor of the Magnolia building. More information can be found by going to “eLearning” under the “Academics” tab on the BRCC website, and then clicking “Testing Center.”
What is the difference between MATH 1113 and MATH 1213?
  MATH 1113 College Algebra is a 5-hour in-class format as opposed to MATH 1213 College Algebra, which is a 3-hour in-class format. (A higher placement test course or grade from MATH 0099 is needed to register for MATH 1213)
What is a developmental mathematics course?
  A developmental course is a course that students are placed in if they require additional practice or review of specific mathematical concepts before registering for college level math courses. (Developmental courses do not receive college credit.)
What is a hybrid  course?
  A hybrid course is a course where 50% of the course is met or completed on campus and 50% is met or completed online. (An online eLearning Entrance Exam is needed to register for this type of course.)
What is an online course?
  An online course is a course where 100% of the course is met or completed online. (An online eLearning Entrance Exam is needed to register for this type of course.)
What is ProctorU?
  ProctorU is a site that is used to proctor exams online. Students are required to pay a fee to use this site.
