The Magnolia Library has moved completely online to help students continue their assignments
using the online databases and other electronic resources offered through the Library's
website.
The library can be reached by email and chat. Email us your questions about the library
and its resources at library@mybrcc.edu or chat with us by going to https://www.mybrcc.edu/library/askalibrarian.php.
You can learn more about BRCC Libraries' online resources through our LibGuides: https://guides.mybrcc.edu/using_the_library.
The librarians are aware that many students are looking for ways to access their textbooks
while campus is closed and the library's reserve copies are inaccessible. Many textbooks
are available for free online until May 25 through a company called RedShelf. Students
can create an account through RedShelf Responds to borrow up to 7 free eBooks online
through May 25. The librarians are also actively identifying other free textbook sources
for students. If you cannot access your textbooks, please email library@mybrcc.edu
and let us know which books you are looking for.
If you have a book checked out from the BRCC Library (or if you've checked out another
item): the due date has been pushed back to May 25, and you will not be charged a
fine. Please don't worry about returning the item by the original due date. You can
return it later, when our building reopens. Please do not attempt to return items
while the building is closed.
Please take care and we'll look forward to hearing from you online and seeing you
again when the library reopens!
Thank you,
Magnolia Library Staff
