Graduation Information
STEP 1: Meet with your advisor one semester prior to graduation to verify eligibility for graduation.
STEP 2: Submit graduation application through LoLA by following these directions.
STEP 3: The graduation analyst will submit a request to your Dean for an official graduation audit to be completed on your behalf. Please diligently check your BRCC email account for correspondences regarding your audit.
STEP 4: Complete the graduation exit procedure. Prior to graduation, you will need to:
- Pay any outstanding balance(s) with the Bursar’s Office
- Ensure that your address and telephone number are correct on your LoLA account.
STEP 5: After final grades have been computed, you will be notified of your final audit standing. If you are approved and have completed your graduation exit, you will be eligible to participate in the Commencement ceremony. Information regarding rehearsal and the ceremony will be located on the website as well as sent to your PREFERRED email account.
*Please note that all financial obligations must be satisfied prior to a student participating in the graduation ceremony or receiving an official transcript or diploma. In addition, students must complete all coursework required for a degree prior to the end of the spring semester in order to participate in the spring commencement ceremony.

BRCC Spring 2023 Commencement
The Spring 2023 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 23 at 10:00am at the Raising Cane’s River Center.
Students can purchase their cap and gown from the BRCC Bookstore. (https://www.batonrougeccbookstore.com/home.aspx)

The following items will NOT be allowed into the Raising Cane’s River Center during any event, including graduations:
- Air Horns
- Confetti Guns
- Confetti Poppers
- Flowers
- Balloons
- Large Gift Bags
- Large Signs
The following items are strictly prohibited and are subject to seizure:
- Coolers, ice chests, bottles, cans, cups (or any kind of container)
- Backpacks/ Duffle Bags
- Strollers, Car Seats, Baby Carriers, etc.
- Outside food and beverage
- Laser pointers
- Smart Phone Battery Packs
- Pets of any variety (except for certified service animals)
- Weapons of any kind - including pocket knives, multi-function tools, mace, and any
items deemed inappropriate (no return of any confiscated weapons)
