Baton Rouge Community College will hold pinning ceremonies for spring graduates of the Nursing and Allied Health Division on Friday, May 19. The pinning ceremony for Allied Health graduates will take place at 10 a.m. The pinning ceremony for Nursing graduates will take place a 1 p.m. Both ceremonies will be held at BRCC’s Mid City campus in the Magnolia Theatre, 201 Community College Drive.
The pinning ceremony is a time-honored tradition for healthcare professionals. Often more personally meaningful than the graduation ceremony for students, it signifies the official initiation into the brotherhood and sisterhood of nursing and allied health professionals. Nearly 100 students are slated to graduate from the division with degrees in nursing, sonography, surgical technology, practical nursing, and veterinary technology.
The pinning ceremony is open to students and their family members, faculty, and staff members.
