AA/LT-Fine Arts students can focus on the following fine art areas or complete a combination of any fine arts area courses as part of the degree's concentration core requirement. 

  • Visual Art: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Digital Art, Graphic/Web Design, Art History, etc.
  • Film: Production, Post-Production, Visual Effects, Cinema History, etc.
  • Music: Theory, Performance, Audio Recording, Music History, etc.
  • Theatre: Acting, Stagecraft, Theatre History, etc. 

All studio art courses (drawing, painting, printmaking, etc.) are held at the Frazier Art Annex on BRCC's Frazier site (555 Julia St.). Other courses in visual art, music, film, and theatre are offered at BRCC's Mid City (main) campus at 201 Community College Dr. and online in Canvas.

Students should carefully note the Exclusionary Courses listed in the General Education Requirements section – some courses are exclusive to each other and cannot both be taken for credit. To receive this degree, the student must:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or better in all credit hours to be used towards the degree.
  • Earn a "C" or better in all coursework to be used toward the degree.
  • Complete the coursework listed in the student's catalog of entry.

AA/LT-Fine Arts students can also earn at least one career-focused certificate (CTS or CTC) that is "embedded" in the degree program. This means that, as an AA/LT-Fine Arts student, you can earn the following certification before you even finish your degree!
