Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act

Industry specific funding resources for incumbent worker up training and retention. All courses included in this brochure are eligible for complete tuition assistance for qualified students. Depending on location, students who qualify should contact EmployBR or GeauxJobs to secure a case manager and begin the application process. Students can also reach out to the Workforce Healthcare Programs Manager for application materials and guidance with the process.

Louisiana Rehabilitation Services

Vocational Rehabilitation, the flagship program of Louisiana Rehabilitation Services, is a one-stop career development program that offers individuals with disabilities a wide range of services designed to provide them with the skills, resources, attitudes, and expectations needed to compete in the interview process, get the job, keep the job, and develop a lifetime career.

LRS' Vocational Rehabilitation Program provides comprehensive rehabilitation services that go far beyond those found in routine job training programs. This frequently includes work evaluation and job readiness services; assessment for and provision of assistive technology, such as customized computer interfaces for persons with physical or sensory disabilities; job counseling services, and medical and therapeutic services.

The Vocational Rehabilitation Program increases revenues for all levels of government and decreases the burden of income maintenance programs. As individuals with disabilities achieve gainful employment and independence, they become taxpaying citizens and more than "pay back" the costs of the program

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

The SNAP Employment and Training (E&T) Program is a federally funded initiative that provides career training at no cost for SNAP recipients to receive the education & training needed to obtain jobs.

• Receive SNAP benefits
• NOT receiving TANF cash assistance
• Able and motivated to obtain employment upon program completion

Urban League Louisiana

The mission of the Urban League of Louisiana is to assist African Americans and other communities seeking equity to secure economic self-reliance, parity and civil rights. The Urban League of Louisiana implements their mission through programs in the areas of EDUCATION and YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, WORKFORCE and ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, PUBLIC POLICY and ADVOCACY initiatives. MJ Foster Promise

The M.J. Foster Promise Program will be administered by the Board of Regents through the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance.  Students will be able to participate beginning in July 2022. All public two-year postsecondary institutions in Louisiana are eligible training providers as well as accredited proprietary schools licensed by the Board of Regents.
