A message from BRCC Chancellor

To the Members of the BRCC Community:

Baton Rouge Community College stands in solidarity with the fight for justice and equality. During these unprecedented times, our world is being challenged in so many ways, but it is the way we respond to these challenges that is most important. We must not operate in fear or cultural biases, and certainly not in racism or prejudices.

At BRCC, we have long valued the dignity of all people and we will continue to encourage individual differences of opinions, thoughts, and ideas, especially as it pertains to the value of human life, social justice, inclusion, and equity.

Please be safe as you continue to navigate all of the new normal our world is being faced with at the moment. We look forward to welcoming you all back to campus when we are once again able to come together. Until then, please know that we are here to support you in any way possible.

Thank you.

Willie E. Smith, Ed.D.
