FEMA Assistance
Individual assistance in some parishes has been approved. How to apply

No hotel programs currently. Can submit for possible hotel/motel stay reimbursement through FEMA. Need to make sure that there are records that applicants stayed there, or hotel is willing to cooperate when needed to verify information If no printed receipts were given. Airbnb documentation needs to have name, company, physical address, phone number and amount.
FEMA might offer Critical Needs Assistance as well. Virtual inspections on homes can be scheduled if applicants answer their phone to schedule virtual inspections when contacted.

Homeownerโ€™s Insurance
Contact homeownerโ€™s insurance provider and ask if they provide Alternative Living Expenses.

Crisis Cleanup:
Homeowners can call 844-965-1386 for help with mucking and gutting.

SNAP Food Stamps:  
If you have lost your SNAP card, call 1-888-997-1117 Customer Service Center at 1 (888) LAHELPU (1-888-524-3578)
