Baton Rouge Community College is partnering with Shell as they present their 12th annual career exploration event, Energize Your Destiny, to be held virtually from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3. Dean of Technical Education, Dr. Brandy Tyson, and Vice Chancellor for Workforce Development, Dr. Girard Melancon, will serve as event facilitators.
During the interactive event, women will meet industry experts, talk with leaders in the field, and explore how the colleges within The Louisiana Community and Technical College System provide programs to support the advancement of women throughout their education and training as they enter into sustainable careers in the workforce. There will be live workshops and the opportunity to connect with college faculty and employers.
The event’s purpose is to introduce young women to the career opportunities in the energy industry. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. To register, please visit https://www.lctcs.edu/energize-your-destiny.
