The Student Government Association (SGA) at Baton Rouge Community College announces its Fall 2019 Special Election. Students interested in running for a position in the upcoming election are invited to obtain an application. Click here for application. Completed applications are due at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 3 to the Office of Student Life, Suite 142, Bienvenue Student Center, Mid City. Positions open in the election are President, Vice President of Policy, Secretary, and Treasurer.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
A mandatory candidates meeting will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5 in room 152, Bienvenue Student Center, Mid City, after which candidates may begin campaigning. The campaign period will be from Sept. 5 through Sept. 13.
Electronic voting will be held from 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17. All campaign materials must be removed from BRCC property no later than 6 p.m. on Sept. 17. Failure to remove campaign materials at that time will result in a mandatory disqualification. Election results will be posted by noon on Wednesday, Sept. 18. New officers will be sworn in at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Student Government Association General Body Meeting.
