PRO Louisiana funds training courses for occupations that are critical to the state's flood recovery and resilience efforts. The goal is to develop a skilled workforce to support flood risk reduction projects and build up Louisiana’s defense against future disasters.

mj foster promise program
Named after former Louisiana Governor Mike J. Foster, the MJ Foster Promise Program is a new $10.5 million annual state fund that will provide financial support for students to earn credentials that align to high-demand jobs in these growing industry sectors.

Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) received a donation of more than $180,000 from the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) and the Contractors’ Education Trust Fund.


Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) and GEO Next Generation High School strengthened their existing partnership by starting a pilot program that will introduce more students to college courses through the expansion of the early college program.
