BRCC / SACS
Welcome
to the Baton Rouge Community College SACS Self-Study
home page. BRCC is in the process of
conducting a comprehensive, institution-wide
self-assessment in an effort to comply with
the accreditation standards and requirements
of the Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools, also known as SACS. The purpose
of the self-study is to assess our strengths
and identify areas for improvement so that
we can enhance the quality of our programs
and services on a continuous basis. The
self study will also serve as a document that
a team from SACS will review prior to visiting
BRCC as they reaffirm our accreditation. The
assessment and evaluation process helps ensure
that the institution meets established standards
of quality, and that the institution is evaluating
the extent to which its educational goals are
being met. From this self-assessment
comes recommendations for future improvement
to policies, processes, programs, services,
facilities, and personnel. The overall
goal of this effort is to ensure student success.
The
SACS Self-Study is a team effort including
faculty, students, staff, and administrators
from across the college. Please
take time to learn about the self-study process
and join us in this college-wide effort for
quality improvement, and student success.
