Credit vs. Non-Credit Courses
Credit courses earn academic credit that can be applied to a degree/certificate. A typical 3-credit course requires about 45 hours of class time. Non-credit classes are generally shorter and focus on specific subjects and topics that will enhance job skills or explore personal interests.
Registering for Non-Credit Courses
For non-credit courses, registration is ongoing and determined by the start date of the class. All students must be registered five days prior the first day of class.
Classroom Location
Unless otherwise specified, most courses will take place at the BRCC Frazier Building located at 555 Julia Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Refunds - Classroom Training (No Refunds Once Class Begin)
All refund requests must be made in writing and postmarked five days prior to the class start date. No refunds or transfers for online courses. Mail refund requests to: Baton Rouge Community College, WCCE, 201 Community College Drive., Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
Canceled Classes
WCCE reserves the right to cancel, combine, or change the time, date or place of a course, if it becomes necessary. WCCE may do so without incurring any obligation or responsibility. If a class is canceled for any reason, every effort will be made to notify students by telephone prior to the first class meeting. Registering early will assist the WCCE office in communicating those changes, or in notifying students of cancellations.
Certificates - Will be issued on request.

Fees
The fee for each class is stated beneath each course offering. Non-credit, special interest classes are sustained by registration fees; therefore, classes must meet minimum enrollment quotients before the class can be held. Tuition waiver requests are not applicable for non-credit courses. Tuition costs for non-credit courses are given in course descriptions.
On-Campus Parking
During the day, students must park between the yellow-lined spaces at the Frazier Building. For information regarding parking on the Frazier or Main BRCC campus please call: 225.216.8001
