ROAR Summer Academy provides an enriching blend of academic foundational courses and social engagement to new college students. This experience offers new students the opportunity to experience campus life, attend real college credit classes, and gain skills and confidence as they prepare for college life at Baton Rouge Community College. Each foundational college track (Math or English) offer classes that will engage and expand student interests, as well as deepen their knowledge and understanding of college life. Aside from the academic aspects of each track, there are a multitude of extra-curricular activities to learn more about the Baton Rouge area and the history of BRCC. In addition to daily classes (Monday- Thursday), students also participate in workshop sessions on topics such as career/internship preparation, financial aid options, leadership and major study choices.
