It’s #FacultyFriday – a day dedicated to introducing the BRCC community to our amazing faculty members. Today the spotlight is on Nicole Robert, PhD, MSN, RN – Associate Professor and Program Manager, Nursing.
A native of Baton Rouge, Dr. Robert has been at BRCC for 10 years. She holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nursing from Southern University and A& M College, and a PhD from William Carey University. Prior to returning to Baton Rouge to start the nursing program at BRCC, she taught for nine years at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La. Her role at BRCC is primarily professor of Nursing Fundamentals and Medical Terminology. She also works as Program Manager of Nursing.
What’s your classroom motto?
My personal motto is “Love One Another.”
What are some of your hobbies or special interests?
Hobbies I have when I have time are reading and traveling.
What is your message to students of your department?
My message to my students would be that you must have passion for nursing. You will face difficult times in this career, but if you have a passion you will make it through.
What’s one fun fact about you?
I like animated movies. One of my favorites is Hotel Transylvania.
