BRCC will observe Mental Health Awareness Week at its Mid City Campus, October 9-11, with a variety of events centered on mental health and wellness.
On Monday, Oct. 9, the Mental Health Resource Fair will be held in the Magnolia Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a T-shirt give away for BRCC students who show a current Student ID.
On Tuesday, Oct. 10, the event Feed Em' and Screen Em' will take place in the Bienvenue Student Center at 11 a.m. There will be free depression screenings and lunch provided.
On Wednesday, Oct. 11 BRCC's Career Center will host the Careers in Mental Health and Social Services Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Dumas Conference Room located in the Magnolia Building. The fair also features the following panels and discussions: Issues in Mental Health and Social Services at 11:30 a.m. and Careers in Mental Health and Social Services Panel at noon.
Students are encouraged to show support for mental health awareness by wearing something green or their MHAW T-shirts to the final day of events (Wednesday).
