BATON ROUGE –Baton Rouge Community College Student Government Association will host a family friendly community summer bash on Thursday, July 13 at the Bienvenue Student Center Intramural Field on its Mid City campus from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Enrollment services and admissions will be available at the event to provide information about BRCC to those interested.
Sponsored by BRCC’s Student Government Association and Office of Student Programs and Resources, the event seeks to engage in both programming to the campus and service to the community. SGA executive leaders, along with BRCC clubs and organizations will serve as volunteer coordinators for the day’s activities, which include a trackless train ride, dance off and water games. Food and cold beverages and treats will also be provided.
The event was originally scheduled to take place on June 22, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
The mission of the Office of Student Programs and Resources, or SPAR, is to enrich
student engagement by offering diverse and innovative services and programs which
promote retention, foster leadership, and provide the skills and opportunities for
members of the campus community to become better students, leaders, and citizens.
