Database DescriptionsCQ ResearcherExcellent resource for researchers seeking original, comprehensive reporting and analysis on issues in the news. Founded in 1923 as Editorial Research Reports, CQ Researcher is noted for its in-depth, unbiased coverage of health, social trends, criminal justice, international affairs, education, the environment, technology, and the economy. Reports are published weekly in print and online 44 times a year by CQ Press, a division of Congressional Quarterly Inc.Dissertation Abstracts Online access to citations and abstracts for every title in the Dissertation Abstracts database. Titles published since 1997 are available in PDF digital format and have 24 page previews available. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study and offers information dating as far back as 1975. This database is updated on a daily basis via EBSCO host.EBSCOhost Select Service Page This link provides access to several different databases, including Book Index with Reviews, Business Source Complete, and Literary Reference Center. Book Index with Reviews (BIR) is a comprehensive database that provides information on over 3.8 million book titles in a wide range of formats, including large print, books on tape, etc. Fiction and non-fiction titles for juvenile and adult audiences are included in the database, in all genres. The product contains over 800,000 full-text searchable reviews from the sources that you trust: Library Journal, School Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, CHOICE, and others.
