Baton Rouge Community College will host a day of activities in celebration of Geographic Information System Day (GIS).

This educational event will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the 1st floor lobby of the Cypress Building.

GIS Day is held each year on the Wednesday of the National Geographic Society’s Geographic Awareness Week. This year, BRCC will feature 10 students’ final projects, which consists of map layouts of layers designed for use in GIS. Students will also work together to create a campus wide map, which can be used for touring, recruitment, future campus planning, etc.
