Grade Policy
Students who have successfully completed
at least 75%, but not all, of the course
enrolled in, may with the necessary approvals,
be awarded an “I” grade. In
addition, students can only have a maximum
of six excused and zero unexcused absences
to be eligible for the “I”
grade. The six excused absences are referring
to each 50-minutes of a session. For example
if a student attends a course one night
a week, that student’s class session
for the week equates out to three classes.
A student that attends a class two days
a week; missing one week would equate
to three missed classes. Students who
do not qualify for the “I”
grade should register for the same course
in the subsequent semester in order to
begin where they left off.
Students who successfully complete an
ICL course prior to the last official
day of class for the semester of enrollment
may immediately begin the next ICL course
with no additional tuition or fee provided
they are fulltime students. However, part-time
students maybe assessed additional fees,
since they will be acquiring additional
hours. The student will receive a grade
for both classes.
Students who have begun, but not completed
a second course, within a semester, cannot
receive an “I” grade and must
register for the course, pay tuition,
and the lab fee/PIN charge for the subsequent
semester. These students will not have
to re-take the entire course, but may
complete the remaining objectives from
the previous semester.
