Ways of Giving to BRCC 

You can donate to Baton Rouge Community College by making an outright gift or a planned gift.  There are a number of ways you can choose to donate to the College, such as:

Outright Gifts
A gift in which all ownership interest in the asset is transferred to the receiving institution at the time of donation is an outright gift.  These gifts include:

Gifts of Cash
Gifts by Electronic Fund Transfer
Gifts by Payroll Deduction (BRCC and LCTCS employees only)
Gifts of Marketable Securities
Gifts of Real Estate and Other Personal Property

Unrestricted Operating Funds
Unrestricted gifts to the college are used for general purposes.  These gifts tend to be more useful because it allows BRCC to determine the most pressing need for the funds at the time they are received.

Restricted Funds
Restricted gifts allow you to specify how the funds are to be used at the college.  For example, your donation can go to fund a specific program you benefited from as a student.

Memorial Gifts
Memorial gifts are given “in honor of” or “in memory of” someone, whether family, friend, or professor/mentor who had an impact on your life.  BRCC is pleased to honor your request.  These gifts can be restricted or unrestricted.

Endowment Gifts
Endowed funds allow you to provide ongoing support for specific programs such as scholarships, professorships and chairs.  You may choose to honor a friend, relative or a family name while helping to secure the financial future of BRCC.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Matching gifts are counted towards annual gifts and can double or even triple your gift to BRCC.  Before making your contribution to BRCC, please check with your and your spouse’s employer’s human resources department to see if your contributions are eligible to receive matching gifts.
