BRCC Testing Center

COMPASS/ESL is a comprehensive, computer-adaptive testing system that helps place students into appropriate courses. The test is designed to determine skill levels in one or more basic academic areas: Reading, Writing/English or Mathematics.

Photo identification is required with test pass All electronic devices must be turned off Snacks or drinks are prohibited in the testing area Only students testing will be admitted into the testing area Provide your own pencil; and paper Once the test begins you may not leave Standard calculators are allowed. No appointments necessary for the placement test Test results will be available immediately following test The test is not timed.

Testing Center Time Schedule
Monday – Thursday
8:00am – 4:30pm
Friday
8:00am – 2:30pm

If taking only one part of the placement test allow at least one hour for testing.All three parts allow anywhere’s from 1 ½ to 3 hours.
