On behalf of the faculty and staff, welcome to the website of the Division of Nursing & Allied Health at Baton Rouge Community College. We are privileged to hold the distinction of being the first public institution in Baton Rouge to offer the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree. The mission of the Division of Nursing & Allied Health is to support academic programs that meet the needs of the healthcare community. 

Nurse student

The Division of Nursing & Allied Health is organized into two departments: The Nursing department and the Allied Health department. The Nursing department includes the Nursing RN, Nursing LPN, and Nurse Assistant areas. The Allied Health department houses the areas of Sonography, Veterinary Technology, Paramedic, Surgical Technology, Pharmacy Technician, and Medical Assistant.


The Division of Nursing & Allied Health offers degrees and certificates in the following areas:
Applications for Practical Nursing, Vet-Tech, and Nurse Assisting are now available.
