PLATO Learning System Software
Students often use PLATO to complement
their course work, to practice, to speed up learning, or simply to review.
Instructors may integrate PLATO lessons into their curriculum, or they
may recommend PLATO to students for additional practice and reinforcement.
Students access PLATO on computer stations in the ALC.
PLATO is a computer-based instructional system that provides interactive,
individualized instruction in a broad range of subjects, such as math,
reading, writing, science, social studies, life skills, and applied skills
for the workplace. The system diagnoses strengths and weaknesses and prescribes
individualized learner menus.
The ALC staff can design a program for the individual or for a class.
